Enjoy convenience, great service and a range of accounts to suit your banking style. Find the right account and then open it online, by phone or at a branch near you.
Step 1. Stop using the bank account you wish to close.
Step 2. Arrange to have your salary paid into your new St.George account. Provide your employer with your new BSB and Account Number.
Step 3. Transfer direct credits and debits. These are payments set up with a particular business and might include your telephone bill, electricity bill, insurance payments etc.
Step 4. Transfer periodical payments. These are recurring payments you may have set up yourself to pay expenses such as your rent, a loan or a credit card.
Step 5. Close your other account
When your regular payments have been transferred to your new St.George account, it’s time to close your old account. Use the Account Closure Request template.
Our Easy Switch service can be used online, offline or with customer assistance.
