The St.George Foundation supports children's charities in Australia to improve the lives of disabled and disadvantaged kids. Since 1990, over $11 million has been distributed to hundreds of charities to help thousands of kids be the best they can be.

The Foundation is not a single purpose charity. As a result we can help a cross-section of young people with special needs.

We need your help to continue this essential work and ensure we assist as many kids with special needs as possible.

More information on the charities we supported last year can be found in our 2008 Calendar and Annual Report.

Proposed Merger of St.George and Westpac
The Board of St.George Bank received a proposal from Westpac to merge the two organisations, and the two Banks have since agreed the key merger terms. The merger is subject to regulatory and Government approval and finally, of course to the approval of our shareholders, who will vote on the proposal.

In the meantime, it's business as usual and the St.George Foundation remains committed to assisting disadvantaged and disabled children across Australia.
